Noble blood has a way of making one ill. It brings a life of malignant expectations, the bloat of unearned wealth, the boils of power unseen.Asailloux 'Asa' Voltaire is a pox upon his own house. First son of a powerful family and a direct relative of Durendaire, he grew up privileged but on a very short leash.He began to resent the tight control at an early age. Along with that, his family's lavish lifestyle and endless spending began to embarrass him. If only it had continued long enough to make him realize the reason why.Asa was drafted eventually into the Dragonsong war, much to the dismay of his parents who protested vocally. Tall, broad, and brimming with testosterone he went willingly to battle.He survived, and immediately defected.Asa is officially dead on Ishgard's rolls. His mother insisted on this to save his family's face; though the military knows he is AWOL.
